Shakshuka

 Here's a simple shakshuka recipe:

Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil - 1 onion, sliced - 1 red bell pepper, sliced - 2 cloves of garlic, minced - 1 teaspoon cumin - 1 teaspoon paprika - 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (optional for spice) - 1 can (400g) crushed tomatoes - Salt and pepper to taste - 4-6 eggs - Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:
1. Heat olive oil in a large, deep skillet or frying pan over medium heat. 2. Add sliced onion and bell pepper to the pan and sauté until they soften, about 5 minutes. 3. Stir in minced garlic, cumin, paprika, and chili powder. Cook for an additional minute. 4. Pour in the crushed tomatoes, season with salt and pepper, and simmer the sauce for about 10 minutes, until it thickens slightly. 5. Create small wells in the sauce and crack the eggs into those wells. Cover the pan and cook for about 8-10 minutes, until the eggs are cooked to your desired doneness. 6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley or cilantro. 7. Serve shakshuka hot with crusty bread or pita for dipping.

Enjoy your homemade shakshuka!
