Chicken Yakitori and Rice

 Here's a recipe for chicken yakitori and rice:


Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into small pieces - 1/4 cup soy sauce - 1/4 cup mirin (Japanese sweet rice wine) - 2 tablespoons sake (Japanese rice wine) - 2 tablespoons sugar - 2 tablespoons vegetable oil - Bamboo skewers, soaked in water - Cooked white rice - Optional toppings: sesame seeds, chopped green onions

Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar to make the yakitori sauce. 2. Thread the chicken pieces onto the soaked bamboo skewers. 3. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. 4. Brush the chicken skewers with vegetable oil to prevent sticking. 5. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred. 6. While grilling, brush the chicken skewers with the yakitori sauce, turning them occasionally to glaze both sides. 7. Remove the cooked skewers from the grill and brush with more sauce. 8. Serve the chicken yakitori skewers over cooked white rice. 9. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, if desired. Enjoy your homemade chicken yakitori and rice!
