- 2 pounds (900g) boneless pork shoulder or butt - 1 onion, sliced - 4 cloves of garlic, minced - 1 cup (240ml) barbecue sauce - 1/4 cup (60ml) apple cider vinegar - 2 tablespoons brown sugar - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon salt - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper - Hamburger buns or sandwich rolls, for serving Instructions: 1. Trim off any excess fat from the pork shoulder/butt and cut it into chunks. 2. In a slow cooker or crockpot, add the sliced onion and minced garlic at the bottom. 3. Place the pork on top of the onion and garlic. 4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Pour this mixture over the pork. 5. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low heat for 8-10 hours or on high heat for 5-6 hours. The pork should be very tender and easily shredded. 6. You can add your favorite toppings like coleslaw, pickles, or cheese. Enjoy your delicious barbecue pulled pork sandwiches!
