Ginger pork pot stickers are a popular dish in Chinese cuisine. Here's a recipe to make it:
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. ground pork
- 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 green onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 40-50 round pot sticker wrappers
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground pork, ginger, garlic, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and black pepper until well combined.
2. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each pot sticker wrapper. Brush the edges of the wrapper with the beaten egg.
3. Fold the wrapper in half and pinch the edges together to seal, creating a pleated edge if desired.
4. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add in the pot stickers and cook until the bottoms are golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
5. Pour in 1 cup of water and immediately cover the skillet with a lid. Cook until the pot stickers are tender and the filling is cooked through, about 5-6 minutes.
6. Serve hot with soy sauce and chili oil for dipping. Enjoy!
