chinese stir fry beef with oyster sauce recipe



 

Ingredients:

- 1 pound of beef sirloin, thinly sliced

- 2 tablespoons of cornstarch

- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce

- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

- 1 red bell pepper, sliced

- 1 green bell pepper, sliced

- 1 onion, sliced

- 3 cloves of garlic, minced

- 1 tablespoon of ginger, grated

- 2 tablespoons of oyster sauce

- 1 tablespoon of Shaoxing wine

- 1 teaspoon of sugar

- 1/2 cup of beef broth

- Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions:


1. In a mixing bowl, combine the beef with cornstarch and soy sauce until evenly coated. Set aside for 10 minutes.


2. Heat a large skillet or wok over high heat and add vegetable oil.


3. Add the beef and stir until it starts to brown, about 2-3 minutes. Remove the beef and set aside.


4. In the same pan, add the red and green peppers, onion, garlic, and ginger. Stir fry for 2 minutes.


5. Add the oyster sauce, Shaoxing wine, sugar, and beef broth. Stir until everything is combined.


6. Add the beef back to the pan and stir fry until the beef is cooked through and the sauce has thickened, about 2-3 minutes.


7. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.


8. Serve hot with steamed rice. Enjoy!
